On Wednesday 24th April, the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Climate Change (Climate APPG) hosted a Parliamentary Roundtable with Rt Hon. Lord Benyon Minister of State at the Foreign Office - joint with Defra - with responsibility for the FCDO's work on climate, energy and the environment.
The discussion centred around global progress towards the agreement at COP28 to "transition away from fossil fuels", UK priorities for COP29 in Azerbaijan and COP16 in Colombia as well as the Foreign Office's wider work on climate, energy and the environment.
The following Parliamentarians attended the roundtable: Caroline Lucas MP, Philip Dunne MP, Tobias Ellwood MP, Alex Sobel MP, Afzal Khan MP, Daisy Cooper MP and Wera Hobhouse MP.
FCDO and Defra officials were also in attendance.
